INDUSTRY SOLUTION: CONSUMER ELECTRONICS
Bringing a New Product to Life
In the fast-paced consumer electronics market, getting a high-quality product to market quickly is critical. Our prototyping and manufacturing services are designed to help you iterate faster and launch with confidence.
Solutions for Every Development Stage
We support the entire product development journey, from early-stage mockups to pre-production units.
Concept & Appearance Models
Create high-fidelity visual prototypes that look and feel like the final product. Using SLA 3D printing and our expert finishing services (painting, texturing), you can produce stunning models for marketing photos, focus groups, and investor pitches.
Functional Prototypes
Verify your engineering with functional prototypes made from production-grade materials. We use CNC machining for plastic and metal enclosures to test PCB fitment, durability, and thermal management, ensuring your design is robust and reliable.
Low-Volume Production
When you're ready for a pilot run or have a niche product, our rapid injection molding and production CNC services provide a cost-effective path to market, delivering thousands of end-use quality parts without the massive investment of traditional mass production tooling.
Key Services for Electronics
- CNC Machining of Enclosures: Mill parts from ABS, PC, and Aluminum to test internal component fit and overall product durability.
- SLA for Detailed Housings: 3D print intricate designs and features with a smooth surface finish ready for painting and finishing.
- Clear Material Prototyping: Use CNC machined acrylic or clear SLA resins to prototype light pipes, IR windows, and display lenses.
- Rapid Tooling for Plastic Parts: Quickly produce thousands of production-quality plastic parts with injection molding for your first product launch.
Consumer Electronics FAQ
Which process is best for a "looks-like" prototype?
For high-fidelity appearance models, SLA 3D printing is typically the best choice. Its smooth surface finish is an excellent base for painting, texturing, and applying graphics to create a prototype that is visually indistinguishable from a production product.
Which process is best for a "works-like" prototype?
For functional prototypes where strength and durability are key, CNC machining is often preferred. Machining your enclosure from a solid block of ABS, PC, or Aluminum provides the best representation of a final molded or die-cast part's mechanical properties.
Can you help with threaded inserts?
Yes. We can install standard heat-set or press-fit threaded inserts into both 3D printed and machined plastic parts. For higher volumes, we also offer insert molding, where the inserts are molded directly into the part for maximum strength.
